Liberty Middle School Technology Plan: 2018-2019
Introduction
Liberty Middle School strives to incorporate technology into its curriculum daily. In a 21st century classroom, technology use should be a natural extension of every class assignment. Students and teachers alike should have the latest hardware and software at their fingertips, making learning meaningful and pertinent. For any technology to be successfully implemented and used, professional learning and training must occur. The media staff will offer continued training on the 21st century classroom, which includes the Know Your Band program, Destiny, Conducting Research, Using References, Finding Credible Websites, Using Search Engines Properly and Citing Resources. Initial in-services will be needed, but continued refreshers and updates will also be required. Liberty Middle School students will receive training opportunities, during their two week check-out rotation. These trainings will help the patron become more proficient in using technology to conduct research.
